Sown with bent and fescue grasses, the course
comprises two contrasting loops of nine holes. The outward nine, set in parkland, boasts
extensive lakes and water hazards, offering a challenging but thoroughly enjoyable start to the
round.

The Halfway House
It's hard to start the back nine without first
visiting the Halfway House for a welcome drink, a bacon sandwich or a snack, all of which can be
ordered through a telephone link from the 9th tee. Then, suitably refreshed, it's off to the
stunning inward nine holes, laid out in 'links' style, with sand banks, broom and a wealth of
challenges in store. A good test of golf, where a par on the 13th feels like a birdie and
'Deception' (the 15th) really does live up to its name!
