Junior Coaching

Sand Martins has held the GolfMark and ClubMark accreditations since 2008. GolfMark is the official 'quality' standard set by the EGU and the EWGA, ClubMark is the Sport England mark of high quality junior clubs.

At Sand Martins we are always keen to develop golf and especially amongst the juniors. We have re-launched our Junior Coaching Programme to make sure all levels of junior golf are being catered for.

JUNIOR ROLL UPS - every Sunday 2pm - 3pm.   £4
This is ideal for young people wanting to try the game of golf.  The session is open to junior members and non-members, simply register in the Professional shop before going to the driving range.  The Roll Ups form a general introduction to golf; after 4 or 6 roll ups junior golfers may enrol on the Junior Golf Passport programme.

JUNIOR GOLF PASSPORT

Once a junior golfer has had an introduction to the game of golf in the roll up sessions, they can progress to developing the basic skills in a fun and enjoyable way, preparing them to take these good skills to the golf course. These group sessions are available to members and non-members and help give junior golfers a gateway into junior membership of the club. 

Sand Martins Junior Academy follows the Junior Golf Passport programme which is the Golf Foundation's national learning scheme for young people in Great Britain.  It includes a series of achievable targets and teaches junior golfers the rules and etiquette of golf.  The emphasis is on having fun whilst learning; it is a comprehensive, progressive, structured programme designed to help young people learn to play the game of golf.  The main subjects covered putting, short game, long game, playing and the Golfers Code.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY 

This is open to junior members of the golf club to assist them in their continuous improvement on all aspects of the game. One of our goals with the academy is to improve players with varied and imaginative coaching including course management and tournament preperation. Players enrol at the beginning of the year and recieve 8 coaching sessions throughout the year. For more information on how to enrol contact one of our Professional staff on:
